Sentry Gunleather “Inferno” high quality kydex gear for the working man !!!

Sentry Gunleather high quality kydex gear for the working man

While I was searching the inter webs looking for makers to have in the upcoming kydex round up. I stumbled upon Sentry Gunleather (SGL). This write up will be on my newest addition from Sentry “The Inferno” and like anything your order it is top notch. The Inferno is a light bearing holster, this one happens to be for a Glock 19 with a TLR-1S. The debate of wether to have a light attached to your weapon or not is one that we won’t tackle here as it would take way too long and most people wouldn’t take the time to read past what at this point would be my personal opinion. Yes, I also carry a hand-held light to search with if needed. This example of The Inferno is made out of ¬†Graphite kydex on the front and FDE(Flat Dark Earth) for the back, I believe it is constructed with .080 thick material. It leaves the back color showing a small border for contrast. I will also include a pic of my other SGL Raptor it is mono-chromatic in color to show the difference. Inspection of the holster upon arrival from the hugely inefficient government ran US Postal Service (aka. lets just delay all the packages we can) showed that all of the edges were smooth and not wavy as sometimes happens with product that is rushed thru production, all of the rivets were intact and none were split. This shows me that the look as well as the function of this piece of kit was important to the craftsman. Yes kydex benders are craftsman just try to do it yourself, I have built holsters and sheaths and mine are not even in the same realm.

So far this holster is the tightest and highest riding light bearing holster I have used. The 1.5in belt loops fit great on my choice of what I feel is the best belt on the market the Original Special Operations Gear ( http://www.soebelts.com) Cobra EDC Belt. It was very easy to thread on the belt some others I have used are somewhat difficult to attach. I will be using this rig along with some others during a low light pistol class this upcoming spring. Please stay tuned for a video review of this great piece of kit. You can get one of your own by contacting Sentry via their website http://www.sentrygunleather.com you will be able to custom design your dream rig. I’m positive you will be more then pleased with what you receive.

When we were looking for something new to use for a background during photo shoots. An internet search of available camp patterns I cam across http://www.kryptekfabric.com. I found all of their patterns interesting so I fired off an email to see if I could purchase some fabric. In short order I received a response from Reid Phillips Camouflage Brand Manager asking for a shipping address with a promise to see what he could do. A few short weeks later a package arrived and inside was a large bundle of the Kryptek Highlander material. The photo above is what I received I can not express the excitement and heartfelt thanks for the generosity of the folks at Kryptek Fabric. Here are the rest of the patterns for you to look at. If you are interested in purchasing fabric the have it in a number of types ranging from this rip-stop all the way up to 1000 denier canvas.

Tac-Tech-Cal Custom Kydex Holsters and Kydex Round Up update !!!

Tac-Tech-Cal Custom Kydex Holsters and Kydex Round Up update !!!

New just in for the Kydex Round Up. OWB with Dual mag pouch from the fine folks at TTC. This is one of the final entries into the Round Up. Testing has begun on the holster already here and videos should commence in the next couple of weeks. The response and support has been outstanding. Thanks to all who have participated up to this point all this wouldn’t have been possible with out your help. This holster mag pouch set is in Army green set fit and finish look outstanding along with retention being spot on. The mag pouch has just the right amount of curve so even though it is a lot wider than the single I normally carry it still is very comfortable. Please stay tuned for a more in-depth review as the testing continues. To visit TTC please click the photo above.
