While I was searching the inter webs looking for makers to have in the upcoming kydex round up. I stumbled upon Sentry Gunleather (SGL). This write up will be on my newest addition from Sentry “The Inferno” and like anything your order it is top notch. The Inferno is a light bearing holster, this one happens to be for a Glock 19 with a TLR-1S. The debate of wether to have a light attached to your weapon or not is one that we won’t tackle here as it would take way too long and most people wouldn’t take the time to read past what at this point would be my personal opinion. Yes, I also carry a hand-held light to search with if needed. This example of The Inferno is made out of Graphite kydex on the front and FDE(Flat Dark Earth) for the back, I believe it is constructed with .080 thick material. It leaves the back color showing a small border for contrast. I will also include a pic of my other SGL Raptor it is mono-chromatic in color to show the difference. Inspection of the holster upon arrival from the hugely inefficient government ran US Postal Service (aka. lets just delay all the packages we can) showed that all of the edges were smooth and not wavy as sometimes happens with product that is rushed thru production, all of the rivets were intact and none were split. This shows me that the look as well as the function of this piece of kit was important to the craftsman. Yes kydex benders are craftsman just try to do it yourself, I have built holsters and sheaths and mine are not even in the same realm.
So far this holster is the tightest and highest riding light bearing holster I have used. The 1.5in belt loops fit great on my choice of what I feel is the best belt on the market the Original Special Operations Gear ( http://www.soebelts.com) Cobra EDC Belt. It was very easy to thread on the belt some others I have used are somewhat difficult to attach. I will be using this rig along with some others during a low light pistol class this upcoming spring. Please stay tuned for a video review of this great piece of kit. You can get one of your own by contacting Sentry via their website http://www.sentrygunleather.com you will be able to custom design your dream rig. I’m positive you will be more then pleased with what you receive.
